For students who are currently unable to get their money from BAM!
If you are planning to extend your stay, you should submit the confirmation of the blocked account issued by BAM! when you signed the contract.
There are currently payment problems with the blocked account (Sperrkonto) provider BAM!
The Foreign Office has taken it off its list after massive problems arose there. (See info in the box at the bottom of the AA homepage).

Students who are looking for a blocked account provider to organise their entry may therefore please use other providers.
This provider may no longer offer blocked accounts.
The Federal Office of Finance (BaFin) has banned the provider from investing students’ funds. Furthermore, the accounts have been frozen in order to safeguard the students’ money. You can find more information here.

According to information from the Foreign Office, a solution is being worked on for accounts that have already been opened. Those affected should receive further information on this directly from BAM! in the near future.
