02 Jun Changes in the applications for a refund of the semesterticket contribution
Every student must pay the semesterticket contribution. There are exceptions in the semesterticket contract, which gives us the possibility to refund the fee in some cases. These cases are all described in detail on our information page.
For all applications where we previously required a certificate of enrollment, there is now a change: Instead of the certificate of enrollment, you now have to submit the “Bescheinigung der Gebühren”, i.e. proof of payment of the mobility fee. You can find this certificate in HISinOne under My Studies -> Student Service -> Reports.
On the one hand, this change serves data protection. The certificate of study contains information that we simply do not need for processing the refund. The information contained on the certificate of fees is sufficient for us. Since we normally do not have access to student data at all, we want to act as data sparingly as possible.
On the other hand, the certificate of fees confirms to us that you have actually paid the mobility fee, which varies from status to status of the enrolled person in the case of the certificate of studies. So the change brings you more data protection and us an easier decision-making authority.
